After long preparations with Yvonne, the boss of Manya Africa Tours Ltd, we were able to start our 16-day round trip in south-west Uganda in mid-November 2022. One would have to write a novel to describe this journey in words. You have to see and experience all of this with your own eyes. Uganda is just a fascinating country. Since we wanted to have a guide at our side who was fluent in German, Ronaldo, a German teacher, was put at our side. They were joined by Patrick, a driver guide. What the two accomplished on this trip was simply sensational. You can only congratulate Yvonne on having such guides in your team. We had a lot of fun together during the whole tour.

About the Director and Owner, Yvonne Hilgendorf 

Yvonne Hilgendorf has held senior level sales and business development roles with hotels and tour companies in Uganda during her 12+ years in the country. She researched her thesis in communities in Ruwenzori Mountains, Kibale National Park and Lake Bunyonyi. Her thesis “Community-based Tourism als Form des nachhaltigen Tourismus in Uganda” was published in Germany. Yvonne is Treasurer and Founder Member of Exclusive Sustainable Tour Operators Association, launched in March 2022 in Kampala. ESTOA’s Mission is “To promote sustainable tourism practices, support the transition process and market Uganda as a responsible tourism destination so that local communities, businesses and the overall biodiversity keep flourishing.”

We spent 7 days with Manya Africa Tours in July 2022. It was a great experience! The communication with Yvonne, planning and selection of the destinations was absolutely great. Our driver accompanied us well and safely. Even small extra wishes were fulfilled. I highly recommend Manya Tours!
